Photographer's Note
A bit weird but still a boat..:-))
It was a warm, summer-like autumn afternoon and I drove to one of the small coves near Varna to enjoy the fine weather. During summer it is very popular for sunbathing, but now it was deserted and pleasant for taking a walk. There were a lot of fishermen on the rocky shore, enjoying like me the wonderful weather, while practising their hobby. The strong wind was playing tricks with their fishing rods, throwing their ends to unwanted directions..But even so, they seemed to enjoy it completely laughing between themselves and competing who will succeed to avoid his hook to get stuck into the sea stones, covered with rich greenery of seaweed.
The wind had no mercy on me too, and as I didn't have a tripod the camera was shaking in my hands badly... Nevertheless I took a few shots with dubious quality and headed back. Just behind the corner I saw it - a well maintained small boat, coquettishly placed on the green grass behind the fence and...decorated "up to the brim" with numerous pots of flowers! As it appeared to be a forbidden for a closer approach zone (a sanitary guarded one), I stopped the car abruptly, took a quick shot from the window and ..there is the result...
Hope you don't mind the freakish frame - thought the sight of the boat deserved something in that style too..:-))
PP: cropped the bigger version to put the accent on the boat and eliminate some ugly concrete surroundings, clarified and sharpened once, slightly saturated. All comments for improvement are warmly welcomed as always!

Hello Maria, nice to see you again!
I'm glad I read your note first, because I did n't liek the frame very much, but it's fine with me, now.
This is a rather unusual use of a boat, but I guess it has served as a boat to sail with as well. I hope it's the ancor chain that i see on the right, otherwise it still might sail away, t's good that is is behind a fence.
Funny capture, Maria

That's a funny shot Maria. This be a good idea for a new them, odd uses for boats, there's a few on TE already. This one looks in rather too good condition to have been relagated to this fate!

Hi Maria! Becarful not to have an accident by stopping the car abruptly! ;) Anyway, this is a very nice boat again and the colors are really nice. I see also that apprently in Bulgaria, you use the Russian signs... I didn't knew it!

I don't mind the freakish styled frame a bit :-). The fence is a bit disturbing, that's probably the reason why I noticed your frame only after reading your note (throughs probably a bad light on me being so ignorant but reality is sometimes hard).
This is a fine picture with this carefully "mainetained" boat. I like it very much. Well seen.

A unique boat photo you got here Maria:-) I love the way it is behind the fence giving the feeling that somebody don't want it to be back in the sea:-) Very well seen and captured!

Wonderful note, nice colours. I looked sadly to the photo. Like a pet in a cage, a boat on the ground. Nice subject Maria...

Very nice find, Maria. Clearly yours in style and subject, and a delightful usage for the beautiful old boat to carry this variety of colorful flowers. Good result even if taken out of the car, and through the fence. And, for the record - I don't mind the freakish frame :-)

landed 'ship.. Very good Maria. Creative shooting sure bringing something new into 'boat' photos. Still good to see that the ol' boat was good for something ' have to be as closed in as it is behind the fence. Well for the frame - maybe alittle too much, but sure 'visible'..

Hi Maria
Good catch! ;-) A humorous shot that reminded me of Noahs Ark. Instead of animals , this one's saving plants from the flood! Well seen.

hi maria and others ... sorry to say it but i can't really imagine all of that positive marks to that photo. i appreciate maria's experience in photography and TE membership but this photo is rather poor (conception, quality,...).
there is also one another thing. as far as i'm concerned you come from bulgaria. at your photos i can see mostly boats. do they really the most interesting things at your country? i spent 2 weeks during that holiday in bulgaria and i'm sure that there are plenty of other great things (like mountain, cities like plovdiw, melnik...). so please maria try to show also other faces of your really incredible country.
and please don't treat that post as an offense. that is only my opinion about that photo and your hole portfolio.

Hi Maria, I like this variaton on y'r boat theme and the dominat blue/green colour contrast. The stern fence between the viewer and the funny boat introduces a nice conceptual tension.
The frame is indeed a bit quaint @ first sight but @ the scnd one it works very well here as it abstractly echoes the garish paint scheme of the boat. Very well seen & done!
