Photographer's Note
Time for another boat today my friends! :-)
This is a very treasurable shot for me as it consists a tourist boat and my sulking bird - the one I discovered in my viewfinder with a bit of delay but was so happy to take a shot of it too and share it with you...:-))
The sun that day was very strong as was the wind and my sight was trying to get in right focus the boat, to make some bearable composition, to keep the horizon line steady and to make it as fast as possible, because the boat was moving fast and there was a great possibility while adjusting all these things to let it go out of the pic...;-)))
So, there is the result. This is the very mouth of Kamchia River and it explains the bit yellowish colour of the sea water in foreground. The big stones you see at the bottom are part of the attempts they made to preserve what's left of the shore after the big invasion of sea, 1 year ago. Actually the beaches there were one of the largest and widest around Varna. Despite the dangerous sea bottom (because of the constant river flood) they were mostly prefered by tourists and citizents from Varna. No matter how many people were there the beaches never looked crowded and it was one of their main attractiveness. To compare how they look now and how it was before the sea invasion, let me say that the tiny sand line you see behind the boat was the end of the beach...Now all the beach is gone unfortunately and only a very narrow strip remained.
Well, hope you will enjoy it...
Wish you a nice and sunny Sunday to all of you! :-))
PP: (no matter how I tried to keep it steady, the bloody horizon appeared a bit inclined after all so..) rotated it a bit, clarified and sharpened, adjusted a tiny bit the fade correction.
All comments for impovement are warmly welcomed as always!

A straight horizon !
A sunny picture with a good chosen foreground and the two different waters, nice seen, Maria !

A classic 'sunny' shot today. As Hans says, the horizon is perfect. The AF seems to have been working on the rocks in the foreground though, leaving the boat boat rather in soft focus. Funny that, I'd have thought the defualt was it to work on centre frame.

Nice composition and framing. I love the two different sea colors divided perfectly by the sand strip. Colors contrast is nice too...

And we are in desperate need of the sun here, Maria.
That's the tempting element you got the sun the boot your discovered bird and a man walking on the beach all in a balanced composition with correct clear colors and sharpness ... very well done, still 3 months and I am off to the sun again.

Ah, there's the bird again :-) - nice of you Maria to give us the big picture now as a follow-up. Interesting use of different horizontal layers in the composition, and the bird - boat - man in the back form a good diagonal through the frame. Very nice one, accompanied by your usual engagingly written note.

A fine connection with your former shot - I like to see where you found that bird - Your surely living by the water - In fact I do so but for some reason I seldom go sailing - too bad :-) Thanks for sharing this fine daily life shot from the nature.

It's nice to know that there are more people out there that's having problem with getting the horizon straight. I've found out that if I use the viewfinder instead of the tiny little display in the back it's a lot easier. However the most pictures I take is a snapshop from the hip whilst I'm driving, so viewfinder or display none of them is used very often. I think you caught that "slow" moment in life when folks are almost home and just waiting to make a days end after a normal busy day. Well done

A nice shot, Maria, with very nice colors and light. I like this boat, and the large are of shallow water in front of it. I think that I'll crop it tighter and put the boat off-centered. See my WS. Well done.

Hi Maria
Interesting compo, well made with lot's of details -where the bird down there is a very nice 'add-on'.
Did some few changes in the colours, the bit overexposed stone in the foreground - have a look see if you like the WS..

Good thing to include some foreground in the picture, the boat contrasts very well against its surroundings, nice to see the different colour tonings in the sea. Thanks for sharing.

I like the forground element a sit adds depth to your photo. Good control on color saturation.
