Boat Under Willow, a photo from Varna, East

Photographer's Note

Autumn in Varna and surroundings is extremely beautiful and warm, because the Black Sea still holds the warmth of the summer and weather usually keeps sunny, with almost no rains.
With no tourists around, this boat was "sunbathing" at the small pier of Kamchia River, under the rich branches of a willow tree. The two captains were deeply engaged in conversation about serious life matters, like which dog is more loyal - the street one or the pet at home...At their feet two puppies of unknown breed were listening with great interest, proud of their masters and the position they hold: street ones are the best!...
Their boat was tied at the pier and was enjoying lazily the tranquility of the late autumn afternoon. As you may guess, I took my time and enjoyed the sight of the boat with utmost pleasure..:-))

I don't see how you could improve this picture because your framing and the exposure are perfect. I like very much the shadows on the boat. Very nice shot, Maria!

Like to go for a boat-trip, when I see the nice weather...It's a happy picture and nice composed and framed with the fence and tree.
Tomorrow the captains in their conversations ?

Thanks Maria - you got this daily life shot very fine - even you diden't get the two captains on the image - And yes - this seems to be some kind of "indian summer" you got at least with sun. Thanks for letting us see this - I like it :-)

Another nice photo of boat, Maria. What I like in this shot is, except the boat, the tree leaves that fall like a curtaun. Ireally should take a picture of those guys.

The lighting in the shot is excellent, Maria, especially in the canopy of the boat and the hanging leaves. Nicely framed with the diagonal line of the boat. Well done.

Well, it was instantly clear from the thumbnail who would be the photographer of this one :-) Very effective composition with the diagonal shooting angle and the railing starting in the bottom right corner of the frame. Not the easiest exposure situation you had here, but you got a very good result that affords an enchanting play of shadows and light. Well done, Maria.

Hi Maria, lovely picture of this vintage wooden tour boat - looks very enticing
;-)I like the diagonal angle of capture which shows-off of the design of the boat wonderfully and which is also very nicely accented by the white metal barrier. Love the shadowplay & colours too. Very fine job, Maria!

Very inviting atmosphere here Maria. The clean boat and its surrounding elements are well balanced. Very good composition and framing. I'll just take a look on my maps to find Kamchia River, I just suppose "Bh" is for Varna.

Very well composed with notice to diagonal lines from right-bottom-corner towards the other side,and I like the awy you played with light & shadows,very well contrasted & result is great,I like this atmosphere alot.

Hi Maria, I had a look at your gallery, you seem to like boats... this one is well captured, the shooting angle creates a diagonal and provides depth to the photo, the colors are nice and the light well managed, well done

I like very much the leaves which hang on to the frame. The composition in diagonal gives a beautiful impact, colours are beautiful. Good shot!

J'aime beaucoup les feuilles qui s'accrochent au cadre. La composition en diagonal donne un bel impact, les couleurs sont belles. Bien fait.
