Photographer's Note

Cres Island, located north of the outer band Kvarner Archipelago creates almost a whole of the island of Losinj. Are separated by only 11 feet wide isthmus connected by a drawbridge, which allows the passage of vessels. Although both the topography of the island vary, they share the same story. The island of Cres is in the area of 404 km2, is long at 68 km. The highest peak on the island of Cres are Gorice (648 m) – on the island Lo隘nj is Televrin towering peak (588 m) and Sv Nikola (557 m).

Coast of the island is very little fragmented, the island lacks running water. However, you can find here a vast freshwater Vransko Lake whose surface water is more than 68 meters above sea level, Lake supplies water to all towns on the island. Near the lake is the sources of freshwater called vrulje. Almost half of the island is covered with fields and rocks and pine thickets in the north and oak. Is the more populous west coast of the island.

The island is full of specific, raw beauty. It is picturesque and wild. In addition to driving the narrow roads make it difficult to stunning views emerging from behind corners.

On the islands can be reached only by boat. The main port for both islands (also Lo隘nj) is Mali Losinj, which has ferry connection to Pula, Zadar and Venice. It is also a ferry connection with Brestova to Porozina on Cres and between Marag (Cres) and Valbiska (Krk). We got to the island just the first ferry connection, we wanted from Mali Losinj sail by ferry to Pula, but there was a storm and we had to go back to Porozina by bikes.

Vrlo interesantan i dobar tekst o ostrvu, sa datim podacima ...
Dobra kompozicija i perspektiva, lepo pokazano mesto i trenutak.
Dobar rad skeniranjem, lepo secanje na posetu ostrvu i 2000. godini.
