Probably both, "bikinis" certainly are the mascot of summer joy and fun.

According to the official version, the modern bikini was invented by French engineer Louis Reard and fashion designer Jacques Heim in Paris in 1946 and introduced in July at a fashion show at Piscine Molitor in Paris.
However, women in Paris were wearing bikinis one year before the bikini was "invented." This fact is documented with pictures in the July 1945 issue of Life Magazine.
It took fifteen years for the bikini to be accepted in the United States.
Nowadays they are very well-known and "bikini fever" is spreading all over the world summer by summer :)

Hi Vero. Don't know about you, but I don't dislike them... ;-)hihi. Must say that this is a very original picture of the bikinis and this without shocking anyone. Guess I look at bikinis in a different way;-). I can see you had a great time; good diagonal line too ;-). CU!

Summer is just dripping from this photo. You have the ocean as the background, the blue sky, and the bikinis- everything you need for summer! The way the line tilts from one side to the other is great for this photo. Good work.

Hi Veronika, this is a nice clear photo, with bright colors and good depth of field. I especially love the positioning of the clothespins. The composition is nice with the two diagonal lines created by the two clotheslines. Such a good idea, I never would have thought to take a picture of my bathing suit on the clothesline!
