Photographer's Note

My first time this far up north. Came back to the hostel in the beginning of the evening. Beautiful night - stars shining all over the sky. Suddenly I saw this green light, moving across the sky. A fantastic scenery - northern light!
I had no tripod, so I had to find something to put my camera on to get this! Found a concrete circle at the bottom of a drying rack. But I had to put something under the lense to get the lens up. All I had was my gloves. I took the one glove off, and put it under the camera. I had to take som shots to get the rigth one. As you can see, each shot took 30 seconds. And when I had taken 4 shots, I couldn愒 feel my fingers any more. The temperature was almost minus 20 degrees celcius, and a quite windy. The fingers where gone... The next 30 minutes I couldn愒 feel anything. And then I discovered that I had forgotten to change the white-balance from my last indoor-pictures just before...So the colors where totally wrong.
After all, my fingers where finally back - and I HAD to get a picture of this scenery.
This time I kept the gloves on...
