Photographer's Note
Uummannaq is the name of the town, the mountain, and the island. From a certain point, the 1175 meter high Rock looks like a heart. .
The island is home to 1500 people and fishing and hunting are the main sources of income.
Uummannaq is located 500 kilometres north of the Polar Circle.

Jean Renaud,
This is a great shot of this inhospitable place. The colorful houses stand out nicely against the barren rock. The water in the foreground provide a nice border for the scene while the blue sky add color to the scene.

Hello,
I very much enjoy all your photos of Greenland. This one in particular seems to bring out the other-worldly quality of Greenland. It seems like something a child would create in a sand box with Legos, not a real place. Too bad the light was so bright for photography, but I'm sure it was nice for your stay.
Sincerely,
Kate

Hello Jean-Renaud!
This one is not as impressive as the other two I just commented about before, but, still, I like it a lot!
This place is gorgeous and I'd love to spend some time there, just enjoying all this "out of this world" beauty (though I wouldn't like to live there)! Your picture is very attractive, with excellent sharpness, exposure, dof, pov, colors and composition!
TFS - congratulations!
Best regards,
Neyvan
