Morning at lake, a photo from Southern Finland, South

Photographer's Note

Saarij酺vi lake was the first target in my three lakes hike in Nuuksio national park. The border between Vihti municipality and Espoo city runs in the middle of the lake. My hike was on Vihti's side. The lake is 2 km long and 1 km wide at its widest point. In the middle of the lake there is an island, which has given the name to the lake (Saarij酺vi = island lake).

Each time I switch on my computer I have this wonderful photo in front of me. It's so sweet, so soothing, so full of grace and green, so fresh, that not only it's a pleasure to see but I feel it relaxes me.

In 1998 I did a very quick tour of the lakes out from Helsinki, your photo takes me back there, I remember the quiet water, the trees and the reflections. Lovely shot, composition and POV is excellent. Sharp, crisp, details as well.

I can see that you like a lot lakes and trees . And your country is very rich of them . I like a lot this one for the great calm atmosphere , the superb light , and the beautifull reflection ( the trunk , like a crocodile mouth ...)

The lake is a perfect mirror and the result atmosphere is quiet and relaxing...the composition and the point of view are very well, wonderful sharpen colours...

I'd a pleasant walk trough your gallery, I'm seeing the peace and the tranquility of your landscape, both in finland then in italy, with a simply day light (without sun effects like sunsets and other). I like it and I like this shot in particular.

I have had a walk again in your collection. This one is very beautiful and I like especially this absolute calm atmosphere in this scenery - and this wonderful light. A place you can't find here in Central Europe ... really great!
