Autumn mood, a photo from Southern Finland, South

Photographer's Note

About 1 month ago I returned to the same lakes, where I had visited in last May and from which visit I had
uploaded a photo of Saarij酺vi lake. This is from the same lake, this time in the middle of October and taken from another place too, from the western bank of the lake. I had just come down from a high rock, which you can see in the WS. Well, I did not come down from right that steep place, but I had to make a small detour. :-) The western side of the lake is uninhabited and it is belonging to Nuuksio Natural Park. The other side is inhabited and you can see some houses behind the lake.

Great landscape. Scenery not easy to reproduce, for the high contrast. The outcome is anyway appreciable.

What a light...! The composition, this stripe of landscape between sky and water, of this photo really is fancy and these colours are beautiful. A picture which gives calm.

I think I'm beginning to understand your style, or your way to see a landscape: delicacy. There is a tender and warm delicacy in the light and in the colours which warms up our heart.
I agree with Bobo that exposition was not easy and it's your merit to have found a good solution.
And of course I like also the composition with this triangle of trees in the foreground that runs parallel to the ones in the background so that we could see the space between them.

Hej Lasse,
A beautiful photo! But I am a bit bewildered here when I read the map here; is this the famous place we read about at school, by Runeberg:

"H鐷t bland Saarij酺vis moar bodde
bonden Paavo p� ett frostigt hemman"

But maybe there are an abundance of "Saarij酺vi" Suomessa!

Hello Lasse,
I agree with the others: you really had to take this photo in quite difficult conditions: high contrast, very brightly sunlit background!
Anyway, the result looks very good :) The reflection ot the trees in the water, the little cloud in the sky and the distant golden-greenish trees create a very lovely atmosphere. A simple landscape but very pleasant for the eyes!

Per trovare simili laghi in Italia bisogna andare sulle Alpi dove ancora appaiono incontaminati.
