Photographer's Note

Visit to friends in Normandy, a good opportunity to discover this part of France I don't know.

The old boat is deteriotating and rust appears on the iron parts. A splendid storm weather with changing clouds in the sky, very good for photography provide you have a shelter very close!

J'aime beaucoup cette composition. Le point de vue sur le vieux bateau est excellent et on sent presque la texture de l'usure. Le ciel noir derri鋨e est un bonus magnifique.

Hello Claude - A gorgeous sky provides a dramatic back cloth for this lovely wooden hull. Super textures and detail here. I like the way the boat almost fills the frame but we can see enough detail behind the boat to give the shot context. Very nice work. Warm regards rosemary

A very fine, nicely balanced picture of stillness with the solitude beached old-sad-looking boat is so dominant, and the benefits of ultra wide lens is so evident here. A shot with immense depth, so very exposed in subtle light and rich coloring with the stunning sky adds to the overall fanfare of the shot. A beautiful picture indeed with right treatment and seems so peaceful. Fine effort and nicely executed

Tr鋊 chouette ce point de vue au grand angle qui 彋ire les lignes de cette 廧ave. Superbe lumi鋨e d'orage en arri鋨e-plan. D'ailleurs c'est peut-皻re un peu dommage de ne pas avoir d嶰al� l'廧ave dans l'image pour laisser de la place � ce ciel � l'ambiance tr鋊 photog幯ique.

Superbe contre-plong嶪 qui donne � cette coque un aspect majesteux et impressionnant. La lumi鋨e est divine aussi bien pour le ciel que pour le bois, un beau rendu de la texture et des couleurs. J'aime bien aussi le petit bout de village � gauche qui compl鋈e bien l'arri鋨e plan.

You have made the very most of the threatening stormy weather and light to take this lovely picture.

And it is a wonderfully dramatic picture too, enhanced by your skilful use of a wide angle lens. The light makes the old boat stand out beautifully against a dark threatening sky but the houses and church of the village on the left are well illuminated too.

Gorgeous vibrant colours, perfect exposure and stunning details and sharpness.

a fantastic subject full of textures and superb blue/grey colors.
I really like the same sort of colors we see in the skyline to compliment the boat.
