Photographer's Note
A real Moment to cacth!
The lady with the veil looking at the iconic Marylin,
2 worlds, 2 feminities, a strong contrast in everyway,
the smile of Marylin gives the impression to make fun of the lady, but also the graffity perferctly reflects her own tragedy we all know! the thing is, what is the lady in black thinging... envy? shame? ...

hello Nicolas,
this again is one of those situations when I cannot understand why nobody else has commented on this photo, I find the image striking for the exact reasons you mention in your note. two concepts of what "feminin" means, two approaches to the role of female in society, both extremes in my opinion.
but back to the photo - your timing was perfect, no question about that. I might try increasing contrasts to separate more the person from the poster, and may be crop a little from the overexposed upper left corner, I find the bright area somewhat distracting. but those are minor points, the power of the image still takes over.
best,
Kristine
