Photographer's Note

Last Sunday, a Bahiana festival occured in Paris. It was a Brazilian event typical from the Bahia state were people from Salvador are used to celebrate the Church. Here, they chose the "Madeleine" church. The purpose of the ceremony was to dublicate a "Candomble" practice consisiting in cleaning the steps leading to the church with perfumed water and flowers to purify the City and push way the devil spirits.

The march started from the "Bourse" up to "Madeleine" and was made of different groups of dancers, capoeiristas, singers, musicians playing samba, Amazonian indians you may recognize in the background, typical bahianas, etc...

Levels adjusted, USM applied.
