Photographer's Note

Let us continue our jaunt across Brando, this time while penetrating in the middle of ERBALUNGA.

In parenthesis we may briefly note that in Corsica over the place the Good Friday the processions take place "Cerca" the morning and Granitula the evening. O not, we will not make the way of cross! It is right to let you know that in ERBALUNGA these pious demonstrations have proceeded there for at least 2500 years ago! The antique and mysterious Granitula (of the name of a marine shell in the shape of spiral) is the figure carried out at the time of the procession which seems to be rolled up then to proceed slowly. Granitula could come from the Greek.
I had presented CALVI Granitula at last Easter.

The parish church, dedicated to Saint Erasme owner of the fishermen, is located out of the old workings. Their builders never thought of us photographers because it is impossible to shot this religious building, even by carrying out stitches of 60 photographs (a thought for my Friend Didi). ;o)

The old ERBALUNGA has districts called Calellu, Torre, Trave, Scalu, Casanova, Piandifora and Concia. This photo was taken in Torre.
I let to you appreciate the details.

Look on the left. There is only one pink flower on the rose laurels. I offer macro in no-claims bonus to you.
