Photographer's Note

Jaunt in Brando sequel.

SILGAGGIA (Silgaia in Corsican language) meaning willow plantation, said SALICAGIA formerly. It is still a very small village of BRANDO, highest perched of the commune to 300 m of altitude. It overlook the valley of the Traghiettu River but is dominated by Monte Stello (1307 m). (See the workshop).

I did not go there but I know that it contains several old houses characteristic and the Santa Lucia Vault.

My shots were made since the locality Parocchia. With the foreground you will have recognized >the Santa Croce Vault and the parish SANTA MARIA ASSUNTA partly hidden by an old chestnut.
SILGAGGIA is also hidden, in the alignment of the bell-tower.
