Sunset in the French Alps. Last minutes of light shines at the Aiguille du Dru summit. Info about the summit: The Aiguille du Dru (also the Dru or the Drus; French, Les Drus) is a mountain in the Mont Blanc massif in the French Alps, lying to the east of the village of Les Praz in the Chamonix valley.

The mountain has two summits:

Grande Aiguille du Dru (or the Grand Dru) 3,754 m, and
Petite Aiguille du Dru (or the Petit Dru) 3,733 m.
The two summits are located on the west ridge of the Aiguille Verte (4,122 m) and are connected to each other by the Br鋃he du Dru (3,697 m). The north face of the Petit Dru is considered one of the six great north faces of the Alps.

Hi Wojciech.

I can't do anything else than to love this beauty. The Alps are beautiful. But I've seen a few summits like this before, so that's not 100% why I comment on this one. I don't really know how, but the sky looks amazing. I guess it's those holes in the clouds there and a very well chosen exposure time. TFS.

Le dru est bien mis en valeur. Il donne l'inmpression d'etre plus eleve que La Verte.
(The Dru is well rendered. It gives the wrong feeling that it is higher than La Verte, which is on its back).

Hi Wojciech - The low light gives this shot fantastic contrast and shows the jagged peaks of the mountains to perfection . The sky is a beautifully contrasting BG. Nice job. Best regards Rosemary

One more beautiful mountain picture! The light and the sharpness are extraordinary. I like it a lot, even if i think there is too much sky above the mountain.
