Duras Castle, a photo from Aquitaine, West

Photographer's Note

Here is the first shot from my Pyr幯嶪s 2005 travelogue.

Stop in Duras on the road to the Gers. I hang around the castle. English fluently spoken. It was true when the region was under British domination hundred years ago. It is still true. Actually, Duras is situated in a beautiful region which attracted also the refined Romans.

Une jolie lumi鋨e, j'aime bien quand on voit toutes ces nuances sur la pierre. Par contre j'ai l'impression qu'au centre de la photo, le chateau est un peu flou, est-ce possible ? Ou alors ce sont mes yeux...

Very nice picture from a good PoV. It looks like a very nice castle. The slight unsharpness creates a kind of dreamy atmosphere, that looks nice. Well done!

Great view on the castle David, well composed, the castle is a fantastic building. The colors here are very nice. It seems though to be a bit fuzzy, just slightly out of focus.

Hi David. Nice to see a new shot from you. This is a nice catch and has outstanding light. This shot would be awesome with some good sharpening. I would do a workshop but I think you know how to sharpen, lol! Nice shot David.

I like the strong, compositional, diagonal & pov. It just lacks a little sharpness. The muted colors are superb. C'est magnifique!

Le point de vue est tres bon et donne une bonne idee de ce chateau qui apparemment a subi qq transformation au cours des ages, c'est vrai qu'un petit filtre nettete lui ferait du bien.

Le petit flout� donne un charme d廥uet � la photo. C'est sympa.
Sinon, le chateau est tr鋊 propre et le cadrage impec.

Hey David, nice shot, great looking building with really good light, looks a bit fluffy though was it hazy? Maybe a bit of sharpening woudl help?
