A couple of dancers in Aristide Briand square in Lorient. They are members of a dance band from Lorient area, I think, because of their traditional suits (not sure anyway). The 40th Interceltic Festival of Lorient began this week-end. Yesterday (sunday) was the most frequented day. In the morning there was Celtic Nations Parade in the streets of Lorient (broadcasted on french national TV !) and the dancers and musicians kept on dancing and playing music in the afternoon, just for pleasure of the many people in the streets of Lorient. Lorient was submerged by a human tide this week-end, people accustomed to the festival say they never saw such a crowd ! It is said that there was 25% more people compared to 2009, while Interceltic Festival of Lorient is already the biggest festival in France. The festival takes place until sunday august 15th.

Salut Olivier, these traditional costumes are very interesting and remind me of the traditional Irish dancing costumes, possibly because of the Celtic ancestry they have in common. This is a delightful scene, the shallow DOF is excellent and the subjects nice and sharp and well-exposed. Great job, have a good day, Lisa

Du bon usage de la faible profondeur de champs pour isoler les danseurs de la foule. En plus, les expressions joyeuses sur les visages apportent un charme certain a l image.

Bonsoir le cousin de ma meilleure copine ! :-)

Doit-on comprendre par ta note que le festival de Lorient attire plus de monde que les Vieilles Charrues ? Je suis un peu surprise. Ceci dit, je n'y suis jamais all嶪, je fuis un peu la foule. Il para褾 en plus que cette ann嶪, il y avait deux chanteurs hors cat嶲orie : Louis et Cl幦ent. Je me dis donc que je n'ai peut-皻re pas loup� grand chose ! ;-)).
Une photo tr鋊 bien cadr嶪 et j'imagine que 蓷 n'a pas d� 皻re 憝ident � r嶧liser. Pas de t幨嶰ommande avec un bouton pause au festival !
Une photo prise sous le beau soleil de Bretagne et qui montre le plaisir qu'ont les bretons � entretenir leurs traditions !
