Photographer's Note
Gare de Saint-Exupéry TGV (formerly Gare de Satolas) is a railway station situated 20km from Lyon city centre. Satolas was designed by Santiago Calatrava, built to serve the TGV line from Paris to Marseille and opened on 3 July 1994. The dramatic of the central hall’s superstructure derives from one of Calatrava’s sculptures: a balanced shape resembling a bird at the point of flight. The building is a steel covered cement structure. Satolas railway station is linked to Lyon's Satolas Airport by a footbridge. This first airport (historically) to be served by a high speed station.

Ciao Vanessa,
Buona serata!
I.

Hello Vanessa,
Welcome back to Trekearth. I was interested in your remark about abandoning the site, deleting your photos, then returning. This is an excellent architectural portrait of the Calatrava-designed trains station of the TGV. I've become a fan of the great Spanish architect, although The Calatrava Bridge in Venice has generated considerable controversy.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Personne!! Fichtre!

Hello Vanessa,
I like this very graphical picture. It looks like a SF movie scene.
Maybe you could have try to crop your picture a little bit on the left to have a perfect symetry.

Hi Vanessa, The depth is amazing & the light has been brilliantly managed, the way the structure all points in towards the end is excellent, TFS, kind regards Wilson.

fascinating image, Vanessa, I like a lot that in this case you have chosen a very symmetrical and centered composition, I find it nicely emphasises the orderly patterns of the ceiling. the result looks almost futuristic, as if all humans have left and machines have taken over the world :)
best,

Hello Vanessa,
Cordialement.
