A view from the Col de la Machine, above the Combe Laval with views towards Lyon. After a kilometre, the road descends down to the valley.
The Vercors mountain range is littered with amazing roads that have been created by road builders over a hundred years ago. These are roads that have been carved out of cliff faces and taken up fabulous gorges.
You can find the Vercors to the south-west of Grenoble.
