Photographer's Note
Back again in the near past, February, at the Carnaval de Paris : "Promenade du Boeuf Gras, l'Arche de Noé".
The crowd is such that at Carnival in Paris, late nineteenth century and early twentieth century, it stops the movement of vehicles on the Grands Boulevards on Shrove Tuesday and Thursday from mid-Lent.
After 45 years of oblivion, the initiative for the revival of Carnival of Paris is taken by Basil Pachkoff in 1993. He resurrects the procession from the Promenade du Boeuf Gras in 1998 and the Queens laundresses Mid-Lent in 2009

I like this image a lot. You have not only captured a moment but also something of the passion and sensuality of this woman. The POV adds dynamism to the shot too.
Great work.

Bonsoir Frederic
Une photo qui mérite largement plus à mon humble avis. Cadrage en diagonal original, superbe contraste B&W et un visage pas forcément agréable mais super expressif.

Compared to the "Vamos a Ballar" picture next to, it's fascinating to see how colour vs. bl/w + another title completely changes the mood of the picture. Both are terrific, of course.
