Photographer's Note

I've always been fascinated by the stairs to Montmartre and made some pictures at the beginning of my visit, but there were no people there. I was lucky enough to get a scene with tourists, although I would have preferred one with just a couple of them. Anyway, I love the perspective and the trees at both sides. I guess it would have been better to include the top of the trees and less of the bottom of the stairs. Maybe next time.

If I recall right, these stairs are located at the left side of the "funiculaire" to Montmartre.

This is a interesting composition, Yvonne. The human presence in the image changes the dynamics of the shot.

C'est une tr鋊 belle photo d'escalier. Vu d'en bas comme ici, la mont嶪 est impressionnante. Je me rappelle avoir vu ces escaliers, mais j'ai pr嶨廨� monter en funiculaire. Montmartre vaut le d彋our, c'est tellement diff廨ent.
