Photographer's Note

Hello Everyone,

Please click on A Surprisingly Colourful Barrage to see the photograph much bigger and clearer.

Here is my first photograph from my holiday in France. (hurray says Malgo!)

The weather was similar to that which we had experienced in England, overcast for long periods and then brief intervals of sunshine.

Usually, the weather in early September is warm and sunny, quite a reliable month but not this year!

This was our first time seeing the barrage across the River Vilaine. The barrage has transformed the estuary into a wide fresh-water lake of more or less constant level and more attractive for yachting and inland cruising.

It is a most attractive construction but, today, you see it without any sunshine. When you are on holiday, you just have to make the best of what you are offered!

Thanks for your interest, Bev :-)

By the way, I had a lovely Italian meal, yesterday, for our anniversary, after visiting Lyme Park ... guess what, it was raining!!!
