Photographer's Note
Over the past decade, Flach's work has increasingly focused on animals, ranging widely across species but united by a distinctive style that is derived from his concerns with anthropomorphism and anthropocentrism. His interests lie in the way humans shape animals, and shape their meaning. Whether genetically, as with the featherless chicken, or with the symbolism that gives a special significance to a dove but dismisses a London pigeon as a flying rat. His images aim to promote discussion and encourage debate.
Flach is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society, and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from Norwich University of the Arts in 2013. He lives and works in London.

Bonsoir Claude,

Bela foto.

Hi Claude
Well spotted street art, that terrific baboon is huge eyeing at you! I love street art when it is creative and when it wraps itself round the structure of the building with the blokes relates to its locality. The angle seems to be very fine as is the balance of composition. Good artist, good image and good capture!!
Best regards

Bonjour Claude,
Street Art, Wall Paintings, Graffiti’s (with a big G), Tagging...
As I just begun with a new Theme, I search internet about the meaning of this Art ... All are often confused with one another. “Even if all might be interpreted as subversive art, displayed in public places rather than a gallery”,it looks like graffiti artists are not drawing their work for the people wandering the streeets; but it is mostly an answer/reaction to other graffiti artists. While street artists are looking for public recognization and want people enjoying their work as true Art.
Here it seems to be a photograph rather than a painted work and I also read about the photographer Flach via your link but I would like to add it to a Street Art Theme.
Amicalement,
Viviane

Bonjour Claude,
Ce babouin est peint réaliste. Et beaucoup plus grande que dans la vie.
Ce doit être un choc si on entre sans méfiance dans le bâtiment.
Amitiés, Paul
