Abandoned, a photo from Midi-Pyrenees, South

Photographer's Note

A barn which seems to be abandoned on a slope close to the road which leads to the Col du Soulor.
The leaves have fallen but a few colchicum flowers give a little color among the dry grasses.
A sheepfold barn which, after having protected sheep for many years, may soon start a second life by becoming a tourist residence, this will make holidaymakers happy.

what do we have here? Abandoned, well then I'm interested :)
the front door is quite large, considering the overall size of the building. It looks all boarded up too, that's too bad.

Hello Jean,
The hut looks pretty, but I doubt that I would like to use it as a holiday residence. But it is nicely situated and the trees provide a fine frame. I would expect to find a stunning view when turning right. The colours and light are superb.

Hello jean,

This barn looks as if the steep roof could be a way of shedding snow, in winter!
The building has an excellent setting with views that would be spectacular! I can see it transferring nicely into a holiday cottage!
I like you composition, the steep hillside on a diagonal line, whilst the steep roof mimics the slope. The barn is strongly positioned off-centre, whilst the naked trees fill any empty space with interest!

Hi Jean,
That old barn on a slope is an excellent main subject on this sunny mountain landscape. I like how those bare branches seem to hug it. I also like those flowers on the lower left corner.

Magnificent composition with that old construction, which seems to have finished its cycle, the situation is ideal on that slope, great framing with the tree branches framing it.

As simple as it goes, a perfect shot of the old barn on the slope in the early autumn season. I just wonder if the pink flowers are crocus or not, because naturally they grow in the spring. Very well composed photograph. Have a nice Sunday!!!

Hello Jean,

The A frame hut could be spruced up a bit even if only for itinerant hikers caught out on the track in bad weather. Punchy light contrasts with good sharpness and graphism. Tfs!
