Royal, indeed, it is a Royal Kite, a species of protected bird that soaring above the ridges of the Val d'Azun ... and my head.
The beautiful bird with its colorful plumage can have a wingspan spread of 1.90m!
On the following photo we will see the view of the landscape that it flies over while spinning in the sky.

What a wonderful experience, to see this raptor so close! It is indeed a very fine bird, with outstretched wings and the sunlight revealing the rich colours on its breast and tail.
The photograph is very well composed, the kite placed almost diagonally in the frame.

Bien que je n'aime pas vraiment les pr嶮ateurs, les oiseaux de proie sont une exception � cela.
La plupart des rapaces sont de tr鋊 beaux animaux.
C'est une photo tr鋊 jolie et nette qui nous montre bien la t皻e avec un 𦤹l et le bec.
Belles couleurs de plumage.

brilliant wild life photography. These are certainly not very popular birds. The red color is quite clear thanks to good light available.

Hello Jean,
This is one of your best captured shot of the bird soaring high in the sky.
Perfect sharpness in every angles. The wingspan spreading out as the name , Royally like a Kite. The King of the kings, in the sky with a amazing bird's eye view of the lake of Soum. Spinning around , above your head, as it's looking for a prey ( not you ).....
Very well taken and judged. It was not easy but you did it with a fantastic job.
