Saint Melaine's abbey. Materials: granite and of tuffeau. The Convent reconstructs from 1670, shows by the quality of his sculptures in limestone, put on pilasters of granite, the wealthiness of the order Benedictine and of the know-how of the workshop Corbineau, (The lavallois 尒ienne Corbineau becomes the exclusive architect of most of the religious orders in the XVIIth century).

Bonjour Martine,
C'est une tres jolie perspective avec une bonne repetition des elements graphiques offerts par les arches, de plus l'orientation et la bonne mesure de la lumiere nous permettent d'admirer les details de construction.

La lumi鋨e est tr鋊 bien ma褾ris嶪 et ceci nous permet de voir l'exterieur des arches sans les avoir trop sombres. Un excellent r廥ultat et une belle perspective. Bel endroit!

Superb photo Martine. I love the pattern the sunlight makes on the ground. Pity you couldn't get a nun to glide down the cloisters.

This is a beautifully composed and well though out picture, Martine. It shows a lovely example of 17 century French religious architure. I love it simplicity and its strrength.The pattern of shadows add to the perspective and the cool, deep green of the trees goes so well with the warm stone.You have given me a wish to see more of the work of Etienne Corbineau. Beau clo褾re bien expos� avec une visibilit� parfaite de la voute et de beaux effets d elumi鋨e sur le sol gr歊e au soleil qui y projette les arches.

Nice cloister photo. Although simple is quite pleasant well preserved. The POV is well managed as well the sharpness of the details. About the exposure these places are always a problem due to the hard contrasts they create. In this case, although the bright parts don㦙 interfere too much as our attention is drawn to the stone details and colorful garden, I think that trying to avoid the overexposure in the ground would be a good thing even if the shadow areas become darker. In the pc is always possible to bring the details from the shadow.

C'est extr瘱ement bien g廨�, la luminosit� est parfaite � l'int廨ieur, chaque d彋ail est bien visible, sans que l'on soit 嶵loui par la lumi鋨e passant par les arcades, c'est tr鋊 bien fait!
Et le point de vue est parfaitement choisi.

Qualit� exceptionnelle de l'嶰lairage et perspective interressante font de cette photo une image de qualit�. En pinaillant un peu, il faudrait, il me semble, une rotation sur la droite de 0.3�.
