Photographer's Note

Champ-Jacquet is a famous square in Rennes. How many times have these old timbered houses been photographed ... I bet it must be one of the most photographed place of the medieval Rennes. The statue represents Leperdit, an ancient mayor of the town.

This shot shows the inclusion of modernity in the old town (motos, pubs vs. old stones) because Rennes is a student town. The old town is overwhelmingly inhabited by students and consequently, many pubs are opened in this part of the town.

Last but not least : if you see the small roof in the middle top of the shot, you can see it is the hull of a boat in the wrong way...
