Photographer's Note

Paris is an overcrowded city, on each hour of the day, on each hour of the night, you can see people walking on along streets, open restaurants, open bars, cars cruising.
One of the main issue in this city is the "housing", ie so much demands and so few offers, so the results is prices getting higher and higher, as high as the eiffel tower ....

Picture taken yesterday in beaubourg, after a rain shower, the sky was a little bit orange.

I love the tone into "yellowish" ... gives the town a special light. Great the roofs ... nice to have a garden up there or so.

Tr鋊 belle composition avec tous ces toits et la tour Eiffel id嶧lement plac嶪. La couleurs du ciel se marient aussi tr鋊 bien avec celles des b漮iments.

Tu as obtenu sur cette photo de tr鋊 belles teintes qui sont s壜ement dues au passage de la pluie. Le cadrage vertical est bien vu. J'aime bien cette profondeur dans la photo

For me unordinary view on the Eiffel tower and Paris, not like what i know from postcards :) And i like it very very much, the rain shower was worth!

celle ci j'aime bien, on l'a d嶴� vu cent fois, mais ici le petit grain et la tonalit� me plaisent bien. visiblement tu as fait attention avec l'accentuation.

Unusual but interesting view of tower with unusual colouring. But very effective indeed and I love the contrast of the teeming apartment buildings with the grandeur of the tower. Hardly anyone seems to portray the tower this way. Well done.

My favorite city in the world. I could never forget entering Paris and walking through the city for many miles. Beautiful architecture, shops, galleries, and markets. The gendarmes were not so pleasant or friendly, they just sneered when I sayed hello to them. Another American I guess!
I like the aerial photo of the Eiffel Tower and buildings as it does show the congestion of the city,

Paouuuh, quelle beaute, une vue par dessus les toit de la capitale il y a, mais d'aussi belles je ne suis pas sure, enfin c'est ce que je pense, mais le succes de ton image prouve ce que je dis. La lumiere orangee est sublime, quelle complisite et tellement de details dans les 3/4 inferieur !
Une superbe photo....qui penche un chouia...mais c'est pour chercher un defaut a ton image ;o)

Excellent! "The icon" from that different and unique point of view. I really like the roof tops of Paris leading to the Eiffel Tower. The color of the sky just adds to the uniqueness of the image. If the quality of the pixels are sufficient I would enlarge to 11"X14" or 16"x20", mat, and frame.

now that's a good shot!

if you want to look at the eiffel tower and see it in a realistic context, this is the photo to do it. the crowded sububia of paris and its quarters is quite a contrast to the glittery feel of the touristy sights. i remember walking down champs elysees and seeing dresses in a window for 30,000 euros.

the reality of paris is not far away from those very posh streets.

Hello Seb -superb light above complements the sleek outline of the tower, and the chaotic confusion of rooftops below is very interesting, with no visible gap, or trees, it looks like there aren't even any streets between the buildings.
