Hamburg Rush Hour

A streetscape the way I like them. This photo was taken last week during Wednesday rush hour on the Willy-Brandt-Stra絽, a major thoroughfare in central Hamburg at the edge of the city centre. I took the photo close to the junction with R鐰ingsmarkt and the U-Bahn station of the same name (unfortunately there was no train at that moment, though). The spire of the Church of St. Nicholas (St.-Nikolai-Kirche) is seen in the background. Once the tallest building in the world (1874-76), it was largely destroyed in the bombing of Hamburg in World War II and subsequently turned into a memorial after the war.
