Photographer's Note

I am pleased to announce that the situation in the city centre of Ahrweiler (completely flooded 10 months ago) has improved a lot. Many shops and restaurants received new windows, a new wall plaster and a new screed. They are waiting for their interior construction.
Between 5 and 10 percent of the shops have reopened already, sometimes in a provisory mood, and it is again possible to have a decent cup of coffee.
All this does not apply to Altenahr (as seen here):
no taverna, no tourist office, no taxi, no train.
But four toilets instead, in front of what used to be the station.
