Seeburg

Attracted by the summer evening light, the architecture of the building and its shape as a blunt flatiron and the broken neon lights, I took a picture of this building in the centre of Hamburg after we鏆 had dinner on the first evening of our trip. I couldn㦙 find a lot of information, other than that the building is called Seeburg and was designed by architect Franz Bach. It is located on the corner of Lilienstra絽 and Spitalerstra絽.

Hallo Lars,
Heel goede belichting!
Mooi gepresenteerd met het vliegtuig dat heel hoog in de lucht overvliegt.
Alle architecturale details van de voorgevel, zowel in het zeer heldere deel bovenaan als in het meer duistere gedeelte onderaan, zijn zeer duidelijk zichtbaar.
Mooi gedaan!

Hi Lars,in fact this building isnt't famous,but is very interesting,talking about the style. A mix of art nouveau in soviet lines,and a nice opportunity to take a lot of reflections too,right choice for the today post,i like it! Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

a not usual building, nice details , sculptures and architectonic details. looks like the colorful placards created some distraction in the aspect of this building, if they were more discrete I guess it would be nice. anyway your photo is perfect. TFS. I liked the compo.

Hello Lars,

It is always interesting to explore new places in the evening, especially if the light is good.

This is a very tall 'no nonsense' building. I mean it is imposing but has spent no effort on making it over-elaborate. There are sufficient decorations, perfectly in-keeping, to make it sleek but it relies very much on the style and windows for its character.

A sharp and well saturated photograph allows us to make these judgements.

Lars, this big building draws attention. Its facade comprises patio doors, windows and sculptures. Nice glimpse of Hamburg center architecture. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.

Hello Lars, 'a blunt flatiron', I like that expression.
The building has some interesting features, and yes, the neon lights add a dash of bright colour.
The blue sky is nicely reflected on the windows.

Este edificio es espectacular y lo bueno que tiene esta epoca, que pienso es de los a隳s 30 del pasado siglo, es que no hay uno igual a otro, ideal aqui las esculturas y adornos de la fachada y la original terminacion.Hi Lars.

Missed this one somehow, Lars.
A good front facade perspective, modern glassed windows mounted on an older era architecture style building. many elements depicted upon which makes it interesting sight.

Dag Lars,
Het is inderdaad niet eenvoudig meer informatie te vinden over dit elegante gebouw uit 1908-1909.
Vermeld kan de Jugendstil nog genoemd worden.
Leuk is natuurlijk ook om de teloorgang van het roken hier wordt gesymboliseerd.
