Photographer's Note

Theaterplatz is one of the most beautiful places in Dresden. While taking this photo I had behind my back the Semperoper Dresden, and the Zwinger Palace. In this picture you can see on the left the Roman Catholic Cathedral of Dresden. I have used the Statue of the King Johann to visually separate the cathedral from the Residence Castle. On the right end you see the charming Schinkelwache, which is now a lovey caf. There is so much to see there that people usually show one fragment after another. I decided to go for a wider scene to give a taste of the whole square. Yellow fence shows up again, it is really hard to take a photo in Dresden without any construction work.
