Morning in Konigssee, a photo from Bayern, West

Photographer's Note

Shot while waiting for the first boat to St Bartholoma, near the other end of the lake. The buildings are boat houses and the white bldg. above is a restaurant. It takes about 1hr 15 min. to reach St Bartholoma. Halfway through the pilot will stop the electric powered boat in the middle of te lake. The co-pilot will play some music on his trumpet. The echo will replay the sound three times. In the old days shots were fired and the echo will repeat that for seven times. This deep morainic lake is surrounded on all sides by high mountains. The second highest peak in Germany is to be found here. By the way the lake is also the cleanest in Germany. Everyone I met said the water was of drinking quality.

Hello Latiff -

A very nice and pleasing image. The rising fog off of the lake really makes this image. It is a well exposed image, even though the boat houses could use a touch more detail, and this image is well composed. Well done!

I like the atmosphere, the gray tones, and also your compo and POV.

Salam Latiff,
it gives you the feeling to see this photo. Misty, foggy and melancholic. soft ripples and something floating.
Nicely composed with small island and reflect a nice moment of the place.
