Acropoli Metro Stop, a photo from Attiki, Attica

Photographer's Note

First of my vacation shots, this one from the metro stop at Acropoli. This metro stop by being so close to this important monument meant that it was an archaelogical excavation at the same time.

Some of the findings are displayed in here making this metro stop an archaelogical museum at the same time.

If you ever visit Athens it is worth to exit at this metro stop and walk around Acropolis on the pedestrian only road. An evening walk is recommended to avoid the summer heat and to enjoy the Parthenon by night.

The shot is taken with fisheye lens as I like to experiment with this lens occasionaly.

Nikos, welcome back! I wondered where you had gone off too. At any rate this is a great use of the fish-eye lens. I think the fish-eye has enabled a better view on the items on display. Good job hand-holding the 1/15th second. Good one Nikos!

Wonderful fisheye, and here very effective too. It makes the lines and shapes pleasingly distorted, adds an element of design to your composition, well done!

Goos use of the fisheye here, it enhances the lines on the top. The vitrine adds colour to the shot, and it makes it a good overall result
