Photographer's Note
The girl over there was waiting for her father (fisherman) to return.
She was in agony because the weather wasn't good but hopefully he managed to return safe and sound and with a lot of fish.
ps I dedicate this photo to all the people out there in the sea for all the perills they encounter.

Great sky george. The colors are good. The birds behind the ship are a good detail. I think it is nicer to make the picture a bit lighter and crop it at the left. But well seen.

Very moving image Georges. I love those fishermen. I believe it must be the most difficult job in the world.
The quality of the sky is amazing.

A very moody and evocative shot, indeed. One can imagine the tense wait of the woman.
Though a little bit of lightness will not hurt the picture (as robbertjan already commented), the image is so suggestive that I don’t really care. The red rock on the left is a little bit distracting, imho.

Great note! The story and the human drama behind the photo is immense. Great sky, and the birds are a nice touch. Lovely dark and dramatic colors. I like it!

Very nice shot. I like your note as well.
I think you should keep the pictue as it is. Kind of adds to the mood of waiting, not knowing.
If i just could keep myself from staring on that red rock on the left side....

It's almost evocative of a painting, George! Very beautiful composition with the boat accompanied by a flock of gulls, the girl sitting on the rocks in the foreground, and the excellent clouds so well illuminated. Very interesting red light effect on the rock at the left. Very well done, a favorite.

I actually really like the overall dark toning of this picture, IMO it sets exactly the right mood that fits your intensions George! The colour palette is very appealing, my only suggestion would be to adjust the slight tilt. Nonetheless my credits for this beautiful result and homble hommage!

Fantastic colors and the story about the girl waiting for her fathers makes it even more dramatic. The birds accompanying the boat is a proof of the fishermen's success in catching fish.
I made a WS.
