Photographer's Note

The city of Kavala is the most important port of the eastern Macedonia, in northern Greece. Its history goes back at the times of king Philip, father of Alexander the Great, who settled here the port of the ancient city of Filippoi. In the picture it can be seen a part of the Old Town of the city, called Panagi, with the byzantine castle at the pick of the hill.
