Light Road from Nowhere to Neverland, a photo from Kozani, Macedonia

Photographer's Note

This is the Servia bridge (part of it) over the artificial Polyfytou Lake, close to the small town of Servia in Kozani Prefecture. It's one of the longest bridges in Greece, with a length of 1372 metres. It was constructed between 1972 and 1975, when the construction of Polyfytou Dam, created the artificial lake with the waters of Aliakmonas river.

The bridge is part of the National road that connects Larissa (and Tyrnavos and Elassona) with Kozani, connects the districts of Thessaly and Macedonia. It's one of the two bridges that crosses Polyfytou Lake, the other one is smaller, about 600 m long.

hope you are well, the news in Germany are full of those terrible fires north of Athens..; every year the same shit..think the government doesn愒 learn anything, also some people surely like to play with the fire, out of any normal reason..
so that愀 enough..

Great shot of this bridge.The contrast between blue and orange is amazing the reflections are very nice.

your vantage point, exposure settings, the starred lights, the compo with the parabolic road from nowhere to noplace, the magnificent deeeep blue and the contrasting orange, long exposed silky sea surface, the reflections... all and all a strikingly beautiful photo. you are definitely a master on night photography.

maravilosa hora azul, como siempre, pero en esta ocasi鏮 has jugado magistralmente con la geometr燰 del puente, con sus luces y con los reflejos del conjunto sobre el agua que parece un espejo azul, para dar una gran magnitud a su belleza y conseguir un bonito grafismo.

These lamp posts all along the curvy bridge made me think of candles, maybe on a birthday cake ;)

this is a wonderful graphically pleasing shot. There is beauty inthe curved bridge and of course the blue and gold are so good together. i like the sparkler like lights that change the bridge into a necklace fit for a princess.
