No "Nowhere", no "Neverland", a photo from Kozani, Macedonia

Photographer's Note

Second photo from the bridge of Servia, Kozani prefecture. I have already uploaded one more photo, with a tighter frame, a more "abstract" one ( Check my ***Light road from Nowhere to Neverland*** photo). In the background you can see the small town of Servia, that gave its name to the bridge.

Servia bridge passes over the artificial Polyfytou Lake. It's one of the longest bridges in Greece, with a length of 1372 metres. It was constructed between 1972 and 1975, when the construction of Polyfytou Dam, created the artificial lake with the waters of Aliakmonas river.

The bridge is part of the National road that connects Larissa (and Tyrnavos and Elassona) with Kozani, connects the districts of Thessaly and Macedonia. It's one of the two bridges that crosses Polyfytou Lake, the other one is smaller, about 600 m long.

Reflecting lights on the water form almost physical looking barrier that makes this bridge even more impressive. Very nice eye-pleasing curve form. Good timing with the blue hour.

hello Hercules,
the combination of luminous amber-coloured light and deep blue of the sky and water create a beautiful dreamy mood, and the gentle curve of the bridge nicely leads the eye into the shot. the starlights make the bridge look like a celestial necklace, and I also like the think line of trees in the foreground to add a darker natural frame. great shot, my compliments.

i can't move my eyes when i saw this one. no need to be colorful, simplely blue and orange light! the curve of this bridge is a plus in this photo. this is the one we should put it on wall in many places. thanks for sharing this!
