Photographer's Note
This is the second picture in a row from
the old village Palios Panteleimon.I found
amazing and very poetic this ruinous house.
I feel like I heard vioces from the barrel.
Maybe a happy family lived here somewhere
in time.Probably they affected grapevine or
something like this. But all this are in the
past. Now the house is downfallen and only this
barrel for wine still remains from the "glory"
years. And the sunray send the message, the life
is go on...
Voices
Ideal and beloved voices
of those who are dead, or of those
who are lost to us like the dead.
Sometimes they speak to us in our dreams;
sometimes in thought the mind hears them.
And with their sound for a moment return
other sounds from the first poetry of our life --
like distant music that dies off in the night.

Hi Thomas
Great colour in your shot. I love the light and detail too. The impact is good as it shows the condition of the decaying house well. Nice, rustic and nostalgic shot. Well done.

Hi Thomas,
This is a great work indeed. I like this garbage and your attention to these objects in very good manner. You presented these with very good POV. And to the photography point of view, it have several things in it. I done a WS because I want to see how barrel will look in different type of wood.
Thanks for sharing.

Hello Thomas
I`m not delighted with the view you showed here, but I must admit, that there are beautiful colours and great visible details. The place is nostalgic especially in connection with your note.
So I like it.

Hi Thomas, this is an excellent compo, in colors and elements, and good light as you seem to be indoor. It's nice to discover the continuation of the steps just above the barrel. Rgds, Daniel

Unusual subject choice, but strangely appealing. It looks like you took your life in your hands to get to this POV down the rickety stairs. The shadows have produced some odd colours but the WS has done a tremendous job to eliminate the blue.

Hi Thomas,
Great title and note and a good catch of the abandoned mood.Very nice how the bluish tones of the barrel are contrasting with the warmer colors of the surrounding.

Hi Thomas, very nice to see how you used here your sensibility to the tale towns and villages in their various stages of development can tell us. I like the way the giant barrel balances the chaos and the debri all around it. It's atmospheric and together with your fine note also evocative The harsh highlights are essential here and they alas bring about the only prob the F10 has - it's PF (purple fringing) in high contrast areas (the balustrade). This doesn't effect my big appreciation of this pic in anyway, just noting that I have this small prob sometimes to.
(this is an edit, too much typos in the original text)
Very good work!
Have a nice week,

I like the image and the lots of details and textures in it. I also appreciate your photgrapher's vision in capturing this urban details that go unnoticed to a lot of people.

Hi Thomas,
This shot resonates with ambience. Your lighting is well handled and the framing and cropping just right to emphasize the barrel. A superb note to accompany. A worthy conribution to TE, Thomas. I like it.

hello Thomas,
it is sad to see the decay of the old and traditional lifestyle. Your well chosen POV and the angle of light bring out the lovely clors and make it a very pleasing image. Makes me want to know who lived here.

Bonjour Thomas
It looks like malefic entities live in that devastated basement !! Fortunately, it's daytime and they won't make thier presence known!
Or hopefully, could it be a wine barrel ?!!
Well captured sad fate, indeed.

Hello Thomas,
Great colours on the barrel and rest of the picture. I like the decaying aspect presented by your photo and the light penetrating on the photo. I also like the textures on the left wall and barrel.
Cheers,
Paulo
