Photographer's Note

This is the Rion-Antirion bridge, as taken during a flight over Greece on route to Verona Italia, at an altitude of 34,000 feet (11.1km+/-).
Linking Rion to Antirion on mainland Greece, near Patras. 2880m length, built from 1998 till 2003. Its official name is the Charilaos Trikoupis Bridge, who was a 19th century Greek prime minister.

you were lucky to find this bridge in your way and have a nice view of this bridge. excellent framing, sharpness is nice in the central part and not so much in the corners, because the window, what is ever a trouble. nice job . TFS

Hello Ike,
I like the diagonal composition which shows the bridge to good effect against the blue waters of the Aegean. Sharpness is not as good as it might be, but is not unexpected given the circumstances.

Wow, your plane from Israel to Italy made a sightseeing flight over Greece :) And the company had cleaned your window before you came on board. In the plane I always sit next to a dirty window with scratches :(
Very good and high view of this engineering masterpiece and the cables that support the bridge deck.

You have A very rare view of this bridge. Even from 34,000 feet, the beauty of the suspension bridge can be recognized. I like the diagonal arrangement of this image. We can see well how two separated lands are connected by this bridge. One boat by the bridge is a great addition. The scale of this bridge can be approximated. And overall beautiful blueness of the water is simply captivating.

The aerial point of view is showing the details and colors of the Rion-Antinon bridge. It is quite clear and precise for a photo taken at 34000 feet. The morning light has a special effect on the colors. Have a nice day.

Hi Ike,

You are travelling a lot now! We will see many beautiful photos, I hope. I also like to make photos from the plane although their quality usually is not good. Here the view of the bridge is impressive, the white on the blue bg looks great, even when not specially sharp. Good framing.

Whoa, what an incredible and delightful perspective this is Ike! This is actually some really good quality considering it was taken from a plane! I wasn't sure what to think when I first spotted it from the thumbnails, in fact, I passed over it a few times because something more colorful caught my attention. Even though blue is my favorite color it just didn't jump off the page. That being said, I'm extremely glad I've taken a closer look because this is quite interesting. There's a whole new world at this altitude, thanks for sharing the viewpoint. Great capture!

Hello Ike,

You're capturing well this scape by a good composition and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the long bridge with modern/noble design to which the island is connected. It's good at color contrast between blue sea and white bridge. And, a sailing ship draws out a good impact.
