A more effective panoramic shot from Agia Galini,from other POV, with the city of Ierapetra on the far end.
The temperature of this day was about 25o C.

Agia Galini

Agia Galini, holiday pearl on the south coast of Crete, is a friendly harbour village that can easily be reached by bus, taxi or (rented) car. Approximately one and a half hour from Heraklion and Chania you can find the real Cretan culture, lifestyle and cosiness. Enjoy your stay in different types of accommodation and taste the great variety of taverns, restaurants and bars.

You can take a swim, enjoy the blue flag beach, try water sports or go for a long and quiet walk in the mountains. Due to it's central position Agia Galini is also the perfect base to explore the wonderful south coast and the many nearby ancient Greek sites and villages.

I think I prefer this POV and composition to those in your first shot from this place. The grass and trees in the fg work very well and the hill has more "breathing space".
The colours and light management are superb and your note very informative. Thank you for sharing.

Hi Danos,

You are really an agitator... 25軏...two seasons in Greece, summer and spring ? ;-)
I prefer this composition to the first one because we feel more the altitude and moreover, I find beautiful the different blue tones of the sea. The foreground with the yellow grass is important also, il allows us to sit down and to contemplate.

Another fantastic view of this lovely beach and coast of Crete.
Like in the previous one I'm stunned by the excellent clarity and by the vivid colours. Very good compositive idea to set the grass in fg. Beautiful long view on the town in the distance.

A very nice place and a POV very well selcetd for the presnettaion of this place. The vegetation in the Fg give a very greta depht to the image. The details of the elements on the beach give an interesting idea of the importnat scale of the image. Superb blue color in the sea.

This closer look at the beautiful beach and rocks of Agia Galini resembles for me the views of the former Greek colonies of Partenit and Feodosiya in our Crimea, which are such picturesque as this nice place. The point of view is sending my eyes toward the opposite shore which is giving depth to the composition. It is also showin the details and colors of the beach, of the village and of the mountain. The quality of the light is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.

Όμορφη παραλία στο χωριό. Αλλά θα προτιμούσα τις παραλίες του wz鏎zami. Εκεί στην άγρια παραλίες, αλλά δεν υπάρχει ξαπλώστρες, ομπρέλες και το εμπόριο. Το χρώμα της θάλασσας είναι όμορφο και καταπληκτικό.

and the ocean looks so more deep blue than previous,

The stunning blue of the sea is seen in stark contrast to the arid hills.
The lovely beach and village make for a very peaceful scene.

Indeed, this does look a very attractive place, even more so as we are experiencing gale force winds and heavy rain, here in U.K.
You did well to incorporate the cliff top in the f/g, creating a sense of height and depth to your shot.
The curve of the bay leads the viewer naturally around the shot, whilst the good dof satisfies his interest.
The colours are well saturated.

great panoramic view with stunning colours ...... it is certainly worth the travelling time to get to see this Gem of a place.
We were away for 3 weeks and 3453 Km..... distances in this country are Astronomical !!
