Photographer's Note

Back from Crete, here on the way home I present to you
Agia Pelagia: a pleasant little village built in a sheltered bay with deep blue waters and located on the north coast of Crete and 22 km north-west city of Heraklion. The fact that the village is protected by a bay that the sea is very calm Agia Pelagia is built on the ruins of an ancient Greek city. The name Agia Pelagia was derived from a convent located about 1 kilometer west of the bay.
As you can see, the environment is very green with palm trees and flowers. Agia Pelagia is also an ideal place for water sports and scuba diving because of the high visibility and the many interesting dive sites around the bay. During the winter, hunting and fishing are popular activities.
