Photographer's Note
More of a grim warning than any lighthouse is the rusty red hulk of a shipwreck protruding from the water on the north coast of Milos. Taken a short distance to the right of the Sarakiniko swimming gorge. There is also a mast sticking up a little further to the right, but not visible here.
I am really surprised that I am the only one uploading from Adamas on Milos. It makes a logical 1/2 way stop between Athens and Santorini and has a few wonderful attractions in its own right. I just realised there are many other shots of Milos on TE, but not under any town name, just 'Milos'. Adamas is the largest town on the island.

Hello Chris,
I like the rusty colour of the shipwreck contrasting so well with the lovely blues and greens of the sea. The breaking waves on the rocky shore and the distant mountains frame the picture very well. Beautifully taken!
Kind Regards, Ann

Hello Chris,
The rusty shipwreck makes a very effective focal point as well as serving as a reminder as to what can happen if you steer too close to the coastline. It is well placed in the frame and makes a lovely contrast with the turquoise sea and the beige toned rocks. Excellent technical quality.

Hello Chris,
A very colourful view of the nearest rocks and the distant mountains, with the rusty wreck matching the various blue tones of the sea. The wreck is a superb eye-catcher.

Bonjour Chris,
Tu as bien capturé la puissance des vagues. L'étendue de la mer donne de la profondeur à la composition. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails des montagnes et de la petite falaise. La qualité de la lumière embellit les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

Hello Chris,
A wonderful seascape with some really beautiful shades of blue in the water, which make a great warm/cold colour contrast with the yellow rocks in the foreground and the bright rusty red of the shipwreck. The composition is perfect and well-balanced.

Hello Chris,
A wrecked ship protruding from the surface is always an eerie sight. The rusty hull makes a nice contrast to the turquoise waters.

Chris, the presence of shipwrecks in that area indicates the navigation is not easy here due to the numerous reefs. Magnificent blue color and stunning view of the coastline in the far bg. It s really not a place to bath.
