Floating pedestrians' bridge, a photo from Florina, Macedonia

Photographer's Note

This is the floating pedestrians bridge, that connects since 2000 or 2001 the small island of Agios Achileios with the western bank of Mikri (small) Prespa lake. Until that year the only way you could reach the island was by the traditional wooden boats of the lake, called "Plaves" (CHECK HERE).

The island was inhabited since the Neolithic Era and the most important monument are the ruins of the magnificent Basilica of Agios Achileios, which was constructed by Tzar Samuel in the 11th century.

Every summer an important festival takes place in this picturesque island, and that's a good opportunity to visit it, although I think that during winter you could enjoy more of its peaceful atmosphere.

Great symmeterical approach again, also a very strong perspective with this long bridge. How long is it? Love the reflections of the clouds on the water, to break the symmetry. Fine colours, clarity, contrast and other stuff with a c- ;)

This bridge pulls us at once on the island. Our eye is also enticed by the magnificent red colors of reeds in contrast with the rest.
Another very beautiful sky that I have the enjoyment to see twice with this reflection in the lake.

This is so different scene from Greece while a lot of submission related with sea and summer time only.

I like your way adding depth using the bridge. Reflections, rust colors and sky are beautiful, especially snows on the pedestrians' bridge.
