Photographer's Note
I took this in my home town at a motel/hotel we were staying at. There was a beautiful view of the castle across the valley, and I really appreciated the family of storks that had decided to set up shop on the chimney just above where we ate. This one kept to the nest while her/his partner went hunting for lunch.
Storks are very commonplace in Hungary and the people seem to accept them as neighbours. There was one town on the "Puszta", or plains, where there was a nest of storks on just about every telephone post on one of the streets. I had to swerve to avoid one walking on the road. Unlike a lot of the birds in Canada, where I live, these guys did't expect any hand outs, and pretty well ignored us as we ate.
