Photographer's Note
In that evening I went to theatre with my family. To tell the truth I'm not really interested in dramatics, but I went with them, because I was allowed to take some photos in the area of the theatre.
This is the Hungarian National Theatre and a clown-statue in its park in the foreground.
I would be pleased if you told me your opinions about the photo!
The construction of the National Theatre, on the basis of plans by architect Mária Siklós, began on 14 September 2000, and, after a construction process of record-breaking speed, was completed in a little over 15 months. The artists were able to take possession of the building on 2 January 2002, when rehearsals began for the inaugural performance on 15 March. In functional terms, the theatre is divided into three parts. The central part comprises the auditorium, with an almost circular ground-plan, and the studio theatre. This part is surrounded by the areas for audience members, and the U-shaped technical wing bordering the main stage. The theatre is surrounded by areas for parking. Together with the open-air stage, the area of the theatre is 20,844 square metres.

Hi Marci,
Excellent light management here. Wonderful colors also. Your compositon and your figures create a weird atmosphere, especially the statue of the harlequin in front of this amazing modern architecture. Orange+yellow contrasting with that perfect black looks so good. Even the foot of the bridge adds to this calculated composition.
By the way, "I'm not really interested in dramatics, but I went with them, because I was allowed to take some photos in the area of the theatre" is an interesting confession. Good in the name of photography, hopeless in the name of theater :D
Cheers,
Deniz

Hi Marton, you have balanced the lighting on the statue and the theatre extremely well. This could be a very commercial shot. Personally, I would crop out the illuminated tower to the right of the statue as it is a distraction. Best wishes, Paul.

UPPPS!

Siklós Mária épülete vitatható, a Te képed viszont vitathatatlanul kiváló. Gratulálok!
Laci
P.S.: Az építész nő szolnoki munkájával korábban osztatlan elismerést aratott.

Hi Marci
I have browsed several times your photo gallery, although i had never focus on this photo before.
The illuminated buildings around make a great backround for the statue. With a successful light management and an original idea, you had a nice effect.
Cheers
