These huts covered by grass are so stunning ! A splendid capture , with a great contrast between the sunny green grass , and the darker Bg of lava field .

it looks like you have good weather for your visit to iceland, which i was also lucky to have when i was there two years ago. we spent a day hiking in skaftafell national park, but did not see these charming homes ~ lucky you, and a great capture on your part.

i hope you are having a good time there, iceland blew me away.

Hi Maria. Fascinating housing so exposed on this clifftop, yet so snug and protected by the turf. Wonderful light and POV which contrasts the steely grey behind the houses and the soft green in front (including the wildflowers). Regards. Klaudio.

A superb shot showing so clearly the nature of these interesting houses. They make a great pattern against the dark seawater behind. In fact, your composition is really good because it includes the row of plants as a foreground interest.
What a sensible idea for a house's insulation. But I do wonder what they do when the timber beneath the turf begins to rot away, as it must do eventually.

You have captured a very interesting architectural style.鼦fter i finish my Fallingwater series, I should find and post a photo of Vancouver Convention Centre, which has a grass roof! I see where its architect got the idea.
Those two wood-colored triangles sticking out of the green have put their magic touch into your frame.
