Photographer's Note
Gullfoss is a famous waterfall in southwest Iceland. Hvítá river plunges in two stages (11 m and 21 m) into a crevice.
It was difficult to choose which angle of the fall I would show. While being there it was most impressive right on the edge, on that terrace where the path leads. But this angle gives the best overall view. This has been shown many times in TE but luckily it looks different depending on the seasons. Apparently it is not possible to walk to the bottom of the fall.

Hi Kari!
Those falls are always impressively beautiful!
It'd be good if there was some greenery around, but still, I really like it!
This is a very attractive picture too!
Sharpness, exposure, colors, horizontal format, chosen pov and composition are all excellent!
TFS - congrats,
Cheers,
Neyvan

hello Kari ,
A spectacular landscape , no doubt . The panorama is fantastic . The people on the road give an idea of the gigantism of the place . We often see it in summertime , with the green grass . At the end of winter the brownish tonalities provide a feeling of a aridity contrasting with the power of the stream .

Hello Kari,
From this more elevated viewpoint you are able to present us an excellent overview of both stages of the falls, better than from on the path.
I suppose this river has the greatest flow in spring with the falls at their most impressive. Or is that closer towards summer?
I notice quite a lot of visitors on that rocky outcrop. Looks very spectacular.
Also nice are the snowy peaks on the horizon.
Best regards, Paul

Moi Kari
So there can be sun at that place as well ....! Looks a bit different than I remember.
Superb view of this famous iclandic fall with attractive brown colors. The people on the road give us a good idea of how gigantic this waterfall is really.

Hi Kari,
You were lucky with weather when you've been there. Good light conditions, we can even see a glacier in the background. I had little rain and cold wind when I was there, so the photo I took of this waterfall were not as spectacular as this one !
Have a nice week,
Olivier

Hi Kari!
A spectacular waterfall with a perfect exposure on the bright highlights. The meandering walking track at left adds a fine lead in line and the people add scale. Tfs!

Hi Kari
wow, so different to see this place in May!
I was here in March and it was totally frozen, except for the 'waterfall' portion, it was still flowing.
interesting to see the surrounding area looking so brown, not green.
you took this from a safe distance :)
love this natural wonder.
thanks for the post
cheers
