1000 years after Mael Sechnaill, a photo from Dublin, South

Photographer's Note

Dublin (Baile 膺ha Cliath, in Irish) is the capital of the Republic of Ireland (Poblacht na h仝reann), at the mouth of the River Liffey (An Life) � this photo. Its English name is an anglicism of Duibhlinn or Dubh Linn (Irish for Black Pool). Its modern Irish name, Baile 膺ha Cliath (The Town of the Ford of the Reed Hurdles), refers to the settlement founded in 988 by High King Mael Sechnaill II (a.k.a. M墈l Sechnaill mac Domnaill), 1000 years before this picture.
I visited the city when Dublin celebrated its millennium, while I was serving in a corvette of the Portuguese Navy (the NRP Afonso Cerqueira). The photo was taken from the ship's high bridge.

n緌 digo que seja uma bela foto, mas � interessante, apreciamos v嫫ios detalhes aqui, ali嫳, nunca entrei num vaso de guerra ent緌 esta � uma oportunidade.acho que esta sua estadia na marinha o ajudou a ampliar seus horizontes como pessoa, n緌 � mesmo ? a gostar de idiomas, terras novas, a apreciar o que h� de diferente noutras partes.
