A land without light, a photo from Kerry, South

Photographer's Note

Photo shows a small beautyfull beach, located on the Sl嶧 Head Drive. This beach faces west, gets the full force of the Atlantic waves and, consequently, is a popular place for surfers. The beach deserves to be mentioned because it is a wonderful place to be sitting on the rocks, watching the tide come in. Coumeenoole beach is also famous as a location for the film "Ryan's daughter".

I really like the perspective in this photo. I like how my eye is drawn out to the horizon between just the sky and the sea, but that there are so many rocks in between. It seems quite remote and pure. Very nice composition.

Twoj tytul jest nieprecyzyjny bo bez swiatla w ogole nie byloby zdjecia nie mniej wiem co masz na mysli i Twoje zdjecie znakomicie to oddaje.

Witaj Pawel,
Po 3tygodniowych wakacjach w innych krajach zgadzam sie z tytulem w 100 procentach! Jakos to tak jest, ze na brak deszczu nie mozemy narzekac w tym kraju. Bardzo staranna kompozycja, bez zbednych detali- wlasnie tak, jak lubie. Podoba mi sie to surowe piekno i klimat, ktory jest doskonaly by pokazac komus, jak wyglada "sloneczny dzien" w IR. Fota z klasa!

Hi Pawel,
I kind of remember seeing something similar from you ealier posts, which I like, but I think I really like this one as much. the sky is very drammatic with its moody atmosphere and low light. the reflection if the rich brown sandy beach is just lovely. For such a low light, you did an excellent job capturing the details and texture of the dark rocky cliff. Very nice. tfs.

Hi Pawel!

Wow, this is a very good picture! I love the dark colours of the rocks (you have used the gradient filter well, I think), and even though there is not much light the contrast is still very nice. The wind has done its part as well, which is a great addition to the atmosphere of the moment.

an interesting color scheme. The shiny sand is particulary appealing. The converging lines (coast and clouds) is also striking.
